The 2025 Cooper convertible borrows styling cues from its hardtop sibling. JCW trim will follow soon.

You would need to squint a bit to spot any major changes in the new 2025 Mini Cooper convertible. Just like the coupe, the lights on both ends remain the same but the styling for and aft is much more curvy than before, a welcome change in the era marred by aggressive-looking designs and big honkin grilles.
The lights feature digital animations and the exterior of the 2025 Mini can be had in no less than 11 paint shades and two trims.
The soft top is available with a Union Jack motif and can go up and down in just 15 and 18 seconds. The roof can go down fully or partly, acting as a sunroof, a rather unique MINI-only feature.
For 2025, a new 9.5-inch circular OLED screen and a toggle switch are present. The OLED will provide better visibility while the 5 in 1 toggle switch can do multipurpose stuff like (parking brake, gear selector, start/stop button, Experience Mode toggle, and volume control).
The MINI has always been a playful car that doesn’t take itself too seriously. For 2025 a new timer feature is there, which tells how much time you have spent with your MINI, cheeky but alright.
For non-JCW 2025 Mini Cooper, there are a couple of 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinders to choose from, but no stick shift sadly. The base Mini Cooper has 160 horsepower/184 lb-ft. The Mini Cooper has 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet. Both have 7-speed automatic and can do 60 mph in 8.2 seconds and 6.9 seconds respectively.
The Cooper and Cooper S convertibles will be available from Q1 2025 with an MSRP of $34,945 and $38,195 including destination.
