Announced nine months before its December 2010 production start, Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition was revealed shortly after the LFA achieved a third-class win at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring race in May 2010.
Chief engineer Haruhiko Tanahashi and chief test driver Hiromu Naruse led the development of this best-sounding supercar of all time, which featured improved aerodynamics, a larger front chin spoiler, and a fixed GT-style rear wing, which together increased downforce by 30 percent.
The LFA NE sat on lowered 10mm sport-tuned suspension, while maximum power was boosted to 563 bhp, allowing it to maintain a top speed of 201 mph and accelerate to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
Aesthetic options were limited to four exterior colors and three interior schemes, with all editions featuring carbon fiber elements and Alcantara-trimmed bucket seats. Buyers received personalized instruction on the Nordschleife and a complimentary one-year driving pass. The Nürburgring Edition set a remarkable record with a lap time of 7:14.64, achieved in a completely standard and rather underappreciated car.
Toyota sold every Lexus LFA incurring a loss. These days, however, to get your hands on one, you would have to shell out at least a million dollars.

This endeavor was spearheaded by Dominik Farnbacher, renowned for his expertise in track modifications, alongside drivers Luca Stolz and Lance Arnold. Without any official backing from Dodge or FCA.
The team got their hands on a bone-stock Viper ACR fitted with street-legal Kumho tires and lapped the ring in just 7.01.3 seconds thanks to Arnold’s gargantuan effort. A number that has exotics like 2000 hp Rimac Nevera and Lamborghini Huracán Performante do a walk of shame.
Even doing a lap, let alone setting a lap record in the Green Hell while trying to reign in one of the most suicidal cars of all time is sheer madness.

Only 1003 of these, highly sought-after versions of Godzilla were made out of which 718 were V·Spec II Nürs and 285 were M·Spec Nür. Designing a four-door family hauler to hoon around the Nurburgring is something only BMW is crazy enough to attempt. The Nurburgring Handling Package equipped M5s came with driver switchable suspension -Wheels widths 8" front and 9" rear along with Servotronic steering. An inch thicker anti-roll bar also came standard.
