The 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring Are $40,000 Expensive

The new 911 GT3 and GT3 Touring feature a sharpened design in the front and rear as well as improved aerodynamics. Porsche has redesigned the front diffuser, spoiler lip, and modified underbody air guides to increase even more gut-busting downforce.

The same goes for the rear of the 2025 GT3 revised with a revised diffuser, air inlets, side plates on the wing, and the decklid.

The last-gen GT3 was a damn near perfect driver's car and I am genuinely surprised by the amount of changes Porsche has made, however small. The 2025 911 GT3 now comes with a lower front ball joint on the lower trailing arm, creating an anti-dive effect that minimizes pitching during braking. The double Wishbone layout is still present along with 255/35 ZR 20 (front) and 315/30 ZR 21 (rear) tires.

The 2025 GT3 Touring now comes with an active rear wing and a gurney flap. The Touring can also be equipped with rear seat removal and comes with additional interior colors.

The engine is a familiar 4.0 L flat 6 unit with 502 hp/331lb-ft(reduction of 15 lb-ft due to new emission-friendly exhaust) at 9000 RPM thanks to optimized individual throttle bodies, oil coolers, and revised cam timing borrowed from Nurburgring ripping GT3 RS. Both 7-speed PDK and 6-speed manual now feature 8 percent shorter gear ratios thanks to transmission borrowed for 911 S/T.

The 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 can do 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and 193 mph with PDK. With the recommended manual gearbox the numbers are 3.7s and 195 mph.

In line with Porsche’s rightful obsession over weight savings, the new lightweight Aluminum wheel reduces weight by 3.3 lbs, while optional Magnesium ones come with 20 pounds of weight savings. A lithium-ion battery further cuts curb weight by 9.9 lbs.

A first for the 2025 Porsche GT3 is the Weissach Package. It includes lightweight and trim-exclusive stuff like

  • CFRP components on the rear axle’s anti-roll bar, coupling rods, shear panel, roof, rear wing side plates, mirror shells, and front air blades.
  • upgraded leather and Race-Tex upholstery, with the dashboard’s upper side now in anti-glare Race-Tex.
  • Lightweight CFRP door handles and storage nets enhance the door panels,
  • while forged magnesium wheels are available as an optional upgrade.

For the 2025 GT3 Touring, there is no Weissach Package, instead, you get the Lightweight Package which includes -

  • roof painted in the exterior color
  • CRPF materials are used in anti-roll bars, coupling rods, and shear panels on the rear axle.
  • a plaque with the inscription “Leichtbau” or lightweight

The Interior of the new 911 GT3 remains largely unchanged, except for a new all-digital display and foldable CFRP front seats, which Porsche says is way more convenient when accessing the rear storage cubbies/barely fit an adult seat.

The rotary ignition switch is still present unlike in the newer models with heritage disrespecting push button system. The price is the biggest bummer for the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3, It starts at $224,495. That's over $40,000 when compared to the last 911 GT3.

Looks like someone at Stuttgart has taken their ability to make the best manual car in the world for granted and got greedy, I guess that's what lack of competition does to ya!
