When will Forza Horizon 6 Come out in 2024?

Update, 27 Sep 2024: We are heading into Q4 2024 and there are no confirmed rumors regarding the hotly anticipated Forza Horizon 6. The developer Playground Games is busy with another title Fable. Indicating, that the game might not be happening in 2024 after all. Although a sneak peek or teaser is not entirely out of the question.

Update, 21 May 2024: The XBOX showcase event will be held in June and the buzz regarding the FH6 has heightened. It's been over 2 years since FH5 was launched and its highly anticipated successor is just about due as per the game's traditional timeline of launches.

But Microsoft did indicate that the AAA titles will now be refreshed after an excruciatingly lengthy 5-6 year cycle and besides the developers of the Forza Horizon series (Playground Games) are busy with the upcoming RPG Fable.

I sincerely hope Microsoft drops some kind of news about the Forza Horizon 6 as millions of fans like myself are getting tired of waiting around.

Where will be the setting of Forza Horizon 6?

According to the rumors, the Forza Horizon 6 could take place in China or Japan. Both countries have some of the most diverse and beautiful landscapes in the world. Japan, the land of the rising sun, is known for its picturesque mountain backdrops and sakura season.

The mere idea of hooning around in an LFA while the cherry blossoms fall from the sky makes us drool. Similarly, China has some of the most beautiful valleys and skyscrapers on the planet. Regardless, it could be either one.

What should we expect from the upcoming Forza Horizon 6?

Forza Horizon 6

Aside from the usual Forza Horizon cars, we could get a much more expansive collection of EV cars to play with that could be customized with bigger battery packs and more powerful motors and props that were featured in FH5's latest European-themed festival that also included Jaguar XE Project 8, Aston Martin Valkyrie.

More liveries, parts, and much more optimized in-game credit systems could also be implemented. An entirely new direction and identity could benefit the whole franchise in general, as gamers are getting a bit tired of recycling old cars and animations.

When is Forza Horizon 6 coming out?

Game developer Playground is actively hiring developers for its project, as per reports on X.com. Before Forza Horizon 5, each entry in the open-world racing game came out with a gap of 2 years. The last entry in the series came out 3 years after Forza Horizon 4.

Considering this, we can expect Forza Horizon 6 to come out in either the second half of 2024 or early 2025. Meanwhile, early gameplay demos and trailers could drop as early as the beginning of next year.

What cars will be there in Forza Horizon 6?

The list of Forza Horizon cars keeps growing with every new entry in the series. FH4 was filled with exotics and ultra-rare one-offs. Forza Horizon 5 had around 500 cars at launch and more than 750 cars by the time the last DLC came out.

We can expect Forza Horizon 6 to come out with more cars than ever.

This can be done by adding cars that weren't in the previous entry because of usual licensing issues or by adding cars that have been recently released. Below is a list of the best cars that we could see in the upcoming Forza Horizon 6.

25. Zenvo Aurora

The all-carbon Zenvo Aurora packs the most powerful V12 ever made, with over 1,250 bhp and revving to 9,800 rpm, combined with three electric motors to produce 1850 horsepower in total.

The Zenvo Aurora will be available in two variants: the “Tur” and the "Agil." The former will reach 280 mph, and the latter is the track-focused apex hunter that makes 1,940 pounds of neck-crushing downforce at 155 mph.

24. Ferrari Daytona SP3

Maranello’s latest unicorn is the third in the line of its seemingly unattainable Icona Series of cars. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a bespoke creation that is powered by a screaming 9,000 rpm, 830 hp V12.

It has head-turning bodywork that includes a retractable cover of headlights, active aero, and a neo-futuristic rear-end design. Only 599 units will be made, making the Daytona SP3 highly exclusive and the perfect addition to the large list of Forza Horizon cars.

The notorious Christian Von Koenigsegg has once again redefined hypercar standards. Named after a mythical monster, the surprisingly comfortable Koenigsegg Gemera is brimming with cutting-edge innovations and can be the most powerful car to be added to a Forza Horizon game.

The Swedish Mega GT boasts an 800 hp Dark Matter Raxial motor that can be paired with a 600 hp 2.0 liter inline-3 “Tiny Friendly Giant” engine for 1,400 hp and 1,850 nm (1,364 lb-ft) of torque or a Jesko Derived 5.0 liter V8 for a record-breaking 2,300 hp and 2,750 nm (2,028 lb-ft) of torque. Regardless, you get a phenomenal 9-speed LST transmission and a 250-mph speedometer as standard.

21. Lamborghini Revuelto

Sant'Agata Bolognese has finally decided to join the hybrid bandwagon in the most Italian fashion possible.  The Terzo Millennio-inspired Lamborghini Revuelto flips the bird to traditional hybrids by also packing an 800 hp, 9,000 rpm banshee of a V12 and an electric motor that enables 1,001 hp and a top speed of 217 mph.

The only thing that would’ve made the upcoming Revuelto subzero-level cool would have been the supercapacitors that powered its limited edition predecessor, the Sian FKP 37.

20. Maserati MCXtrema

The beast from Modena is an onslaught of wings, gaping holes, and razor-blade aesthetics that was designed with only one goal in mind: to conquer tracks in the most indomitable way possible.

Powered by an in-house developed 3.0-liter Nettuno V6, the upcoming all-carbon MCXtrema will make 730 hp and will come with track-specific goodies like a roll cage, racing harness, and Ohlins four-way adjustable dampers.

19. McLaren Sabre

McLaren Sabre Forza Horizon

Aside from being one of the coolest-looking cars ever, the 2021 McLaren Sabre is a little-known gem from Woking. A heavily revised Twin Turbocharged V8 makes 824 hp and enables a 218 mph top speed.

The bespoke creation is the brainchild of McLaren Special Operation, with only 15 ever made. From its mile-long fixed rear wing to its active diffuser, the aero-inspired savagery and drama that McLaren Sabre unleashes, at first sight, makes it a worthy contender for the Forza Horizon series.

18. Pagani Imola Roadster

Pagani Forza Horizon

The latest and greatest from Horacio’s Pagani ultra-exclusive garage is the roadster version of the recently released Imola Coupe. Named after the famed Italian racetrack, the roofless wonder is powered by a twin-turbocharged AMG-derived V12 that puts out 838 hp and wind-sculpted bodywork that generates over 1,320 pounds of downforce. Shod the Pagani Imola Roadster with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Rs', and the all-carbon hyper will pull 2.2 gs of lateral acceleration along with more than $5 million from your bank account.

17. Porsche 911 GT3 RS

The latest corner carver from Stuttgart is nothing short of an absolute masterclass in aerodynamics and engineering. Powered by the taut 4.0-liter 9,000 rpm Flat 6 and aided by an F1-style DRS rear wing, the surgical 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS makes 518 hp and gargantuan 1,895 pounds of downforce at 177 mph. The sheer speed it carries into the corners has made even the most seasoned automotive journalist puke.

16. Travis Pastrana’s Subaru GL “Family Huckster”

Designed as a tribute to the family wagon of the 80s, the only OEM thing left on this hilariously impressive wagon is the original 1983 radio. Despite being powered by a custom-built 862 hp turbocharged Subaru Boxer 4-cylinder engine, the most jaw-dropping element on the Subaru GL is the active sticky uppity bits that put the AMG ONE to shame.

Regardless, videos of this Goodwood-ripping, helicopter-jumping, bridge-hopping Travis Pastrana-driven mad machine have amassed more than 50 million views on YouTube alone.

15. McLaren Solus GT

The Uno Reverse of the most epic proportion, the Judd V10-powered McLaren Solus GT, is inspired by a fictional car in video games; it's usually the other way around. The Solus GT boasts a movable canopy for driver ingress and egress and underbody aerodynamics that produce mind-numbing 2,649 pounds of downforce at 200 mph. A number Solus GT can achieve in mere seconds thanks to a screaming 829 hp, 10,000 rpm bespoke 5.2-liter engine from Judd, and a low curb weight of 2,200 pounds. McLaren will also provide a fully homologated race suit along with a bespoke helmet and a HANS device for the Solus GT.

14. Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale

Achingly Gorgeous, breathtaking, mesmerizing, and hypnotic are just a few of the words that pop up in our minds when admiring the 2025 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. This limited-edition hypercar from the Italian marque will have two powertrains. Buyers can either get a 750-hp all-electric setup or a sonorous Quadrifoglio-inspired 3.0-liter Twin Turbo V6 that puts out 620 hp. In any case, 60 mph will be dispatched in under 3 seconds flat out, and the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale will do 217 mph.

13. Bugatti Mistral

The open-top Mistral will be the last Bugatti model to feature the behemoth W16 engine. Built as an homage to the open-top Bugattis of the past, the Mistral is destined to become the fastest roadster in the world after the equally impressive Grand Sport Vitesse.

Mistral’s 1,600 PS (1,578 HP) engine is borrowed from the Chiron SS 300+ and also features 3D-printed titanium components along with bespoke X-themed tail lights and bodywork. Only 99 Bugatti Mistrals will be made, each with an MSRP of 5 million euros, or $5.45 million.

12. BMW Brutus

The Brutus is powered by an aircraft engine that makes Bugatti’s W16 look like a range extender. The car went viral after it spewed hot oil on Jeremy Clarkson’s face during filming, who described his experience as ”doing a crossword while being eaten by a tiger."

The engine is a 46-liter (yes, four after six) affair that puts out 550 hp at 1,530 rpm but can manage 750 hp at 1,700 rpm for short bursts. Taking the phrase “No Replacement for Displacement” to a whole new absurd level.

11. SSC Tuatara

SSC Tuatara Forza Horizon

Successor to the iconic video game Ultimate Aero TT, the SSC Tuatara was recently embroiled in some unfortunate controversy due to a GPS error during its top-speed run. Nonetheless, this all-American hypercar reached 295 mph during its GPS-verified top speed re-attempt and became one of the fastest cars in the world.

Nelson Racing Engines made a bespoke 5.9-liter Twin Turbo engine for this Tuatara that can make 1,750 hp in street-legal trim and 2,200 hp on track-only methanol fuel. Tuatara will come in two variants: “Striker” and "Aggressor." The former is a track-focused variant, while the latter is as crazy as it gets.

10. Ford Pro Electric SuperVan AKA Ford Supervan 4

Ford Performance’s Supervan projects are some of the most insane and powerful builds on the planet. The latest Ford Supervan 4 and its hill-climb-focused cousin, the Supervan 4.2, pack a 2,000 hp and 1,400 hp electric powertrain and were built with rally gurus STARD.

Built on the humble E-Transit body, Ford promises a sub-2-second 60 mph sprint and all-day all-wheel drive burnouts, making the Rimac Nevera somewhat unimpressive in the most amusing way possible.

9. 2001 BMW X5 Le Mans Concept

BMW X5 LM Forza Horizon

After the Sultan of Brunei hogged all the McLaren F1s nearly two decades ago, BMW’s engineering team decided to chuck a full-fledged McLaren F1 engine in an X5 chassis and went gaga in Nurburgring.

The Frankenstein BMW X5 LM with its 8,000 rpm, 700 hp F1 engine could reach 186 mph during full blast and did an impressive 8 minutes, 5 seconds lap of the green hell. God knows what would have happened if the 18,000 rpm V-10 unit from Ralf Schumacher's Williams-BMW Formula 1 car that BMW designers originally wanted to shoehorn in would have fit.

8. Tesla Roadster

The upcoming Tesla Roadster could be the most game-changing electric car ever built. It is rumored to be powered by a quad-motor 2,000-hp setup and cold gas thrusters. The car could do 0 to 60 in less than 2 seconds and upwards of 250 mph, which would make it a perfect fit on the list of Forza Horizon cars.

7. Alfa Romeo 8C

Alfa Romeo 8C

The entire Alfa Romeo brand was absent from the FH5, but it could make a comeback with this lovable Italian V8 supercar. It is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 and can reach 190 mph after blasting through 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.

6. Aston Martin-RedBull Valkyrie AMR PRO

This Adrian Newey-designed wonder can pull up to 3G of lateral acceleration and can reach 250 mph. Powered by a bespoke 6.5-liter V12, it can generate 1,000 hp and weighs less than a ton. Although Aston Martin has not yet released its official number, it is going to be one hell of a track weapon.

5. Bugatti Bolide Concept

The production version is surprisingly lame; however, the concept was one of the most outrageous machines on the planet, with 1,800 bhp from an 8.0-liter quad-turbo engine and 1,200 kg curb weight. Soon, the Bolide will hit the tracks as part of its final performance validation, and hopefully, it will join the list of Forza Horizon cars.

4. Porsche Mission X

Based on the mythical 1:1 power-weight ratio, this concept EV track car has butterfly doors. The Porsche has not yet released the performance figures, but keeping its current weight of 1,500 kg in mind, the Porsche Mission X can easily generate 1,500 hp. Despite the inherent weight of EVs, Porsche engineers have magically made them weigh less than a 911 Turbo.

3.  2025 Chevrolet Corvette SUV

2025 Chevrolet Corvette SUV-

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette SUV is one of the most anticipated SUVs on the market. SUVs are the most in-demand vehicles today. If GM could find a way to shoehorn the godly 5.5-liter, 670 hp, 8500 rpm flat-plane V8 into this car just like it might have done with the upcoming 2025 ZR-1, it just might become the greatest SUV of all time.

 2. Ford Mustang Raptor

Ford Mustang Raptor

After the Huracan Steratto and the 911 Dakar, the supercar-turned-off-roader market has started to heat up a bit. The Rock Crawler version of the iconic Ford Mustang GT would certainly be worth the wait if it ever came out before 2026.

1. 2025 Lexus Electrified Sport

2025 Lexus Electrified Sport-

It would take anything short of an absolute miracle to build a worthy successor to the legendary Lexus LFA. The only confirmed spec about this elusive concept is that it is going to be an all-electric affair. A sub-2-second 0 to 60 spring along with a solid-state battery is promised by Lexus.
