Assetto corsa EVo latest updates
A Week ago Kunos Simulazioni finally gave us a peek behind the upcoming Assetto Corsa EVO. Raising the bar that they once set themselves with Assetto Corsa Competizione

What’s New With Assetto Corsa EVO?

The previous Assetto Corsa Competizione was pretty terrible at first, a lot of glitches and poor frame rates, especially on the console. However, the developer Kunos Simulazioni kept updating with fixes and patches.

Pretty soon, it was and is one of the most realistic and hardcore simulation games on the planet.

As confirmed by the developer in a recent post, they have implemented an all new ultra photorealistic in-house gaming engine. You can clearly see the dynamic lightning, shadows and even the pattern on plastic parts in the image of Giulia Sprint above.

They have also gone ahead and “Laser Scanned” all the tracks for even more accurate reproduction on screen of every curve and bump. The team also hinted that the track will now change over time as the race progresses just like in real life.

What cars will the Assetto Corsa EVO have?

The previous version had nearly every GT2, GT3, GT4 and GT cars seen in real life. Most were added via DLC and expansion pack as the years went by.

Since then the new LMDh category has become official in Le Mans and there are high chances we might see one or two hypercars in the game, at least from Ferrari and Cadillac.

Personally, I would like to see latest and proper track weapons like Jesko Attack, AMR Valkyrie, GMA T.50 Niki Lauda, 911 Manthey Racing and Mercedes-Benz AMG ONE if the developers manage to work the licensing deals out.

Similarly, the new 992 Porsche GT3 cars will debut along with the cars listed below which are confirmed to be featured in game as seen in teasers and official images.

  • Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm
  • Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
  • Alpine A110 S
  • Alpine A290_β
  • Hyundai i20N
  • Hyundai N Vision 74
  • Lamborghini Huracán STO
  • Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992)
  • Porsche 911 Turbo (964)
  • Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II

As for the tracks, Nürburgring Nordschleife was recently added in ACC we expect it to appear in the ACE along with Brand’s hatch and Imola.

Keep an eye out for this section as we will update anymore it with credible information we get regarding the Assetto Corsa EVO.

When will ACE launch?

Late in 2024 for sure. Although the exact date is yet to be confirmed, a preorder page on steam just went live, confirming our doubts.

You can add the game to your wishlist and there are high chances that early birds will get some kind of car pack or DLC for free.

As for the price, It’s hard to say but expect around $40 to $50 for the basic package. Assetto Corsa EVO will be a cross-platform game and will be available eon PC, PS4, PS5, Windows and XBOX.

What Changes Do Gamers Want To See in The Upcoming Assetto Corsa EVO?

Well after hours of sieving through online community and forums. Here is a summary of what ACE should be like as per loyal Assetto fan base.

  • First newbies to the whole sim racing genre found the learning curve to be a bit step likely due to the whole host of scary looking chassis presets and whatnot.

Although it’s not the developer’s fault, a preset would be nice in which you just get in and smash the pedal without worrying about adjustments and stuff
  • Some fans complained about incredibly tough AI that’s just way too hardcore even on moderate settings.
  • Another gamer highlighted the fact that banned players creep in again via different accounts. A stricter penalty for cheaters is also not entirely out of the question
  • An upgraded UI/UX, dedicated and challenging career mode, more comprehensive mods and a general vibe of GT7 blended with physics of ACC/iRacing is also something that fans would appreciate.
