OILSTAINLAB Debuts 1200 HP/12000 RPM HF-11 With A Swapple EV Powertrain

OILSTAINLAB Debuts 1200 HP/12000 RPM HF-11 With A Swapple EV Powertrain

If you are remotely interested in racing or supercars in general the term Half-11 should be enough to send you giggling thanks to its sheer ridiculousness and insane engineering. Sadly, it was just a one-off, but the company behind it is looking to produce 25 units of its equally woah-inducing successor, the HF-11.

The HF-11 looks just like a Half11. A blend of Porsche, Pagani, and Koenigsegg and vintage racecars like the iconic 917 K and Can-Am Chapparal 2J. The doors go up as does the clamshell hood and rear bonnet.

Nikita and Iliya Bridan, the twins behind the company are looking to gift a 2000-pound curb weight thanks to an all-carbon tub and body panels, that’s even lighter than the GMA T.50, a car they have directly competed against, at least in the official spec sheet.

When we started Oilstainlab in 2018, we promised never to be sane. Instead, we embraced that part of ourselves that had always been truest.- The Twins

The panels will be mounted upon a Docol R8 high-strength steel subframes and the whole body of HF-11 will be aerodynamic enough to produce 1298 pounds of downforce at 150 mph.

The HF-11 will feature a mid-mounted flat-six in two configurations and will have a weight distribution of 45/55 front to rear.

A 4.6 L Flat 6 revving up to 9000 rpm is standard producing up to 600 hp. A bombastic 5.0 L Flat Six is also available in a pre-production spec sheet that revs up to V12 killing 12,000 RPM and producing 1200hp. The engine will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic.

An 800 hp+ EV powertrain will also be available that can be swapped with a flat 6 engine via removable subframe assemblies.

The power will be routed to the rear wheels only via a Limited Slip Differential. All four corners will be shod with a massive Michelin Pilot Cup 2 Rs measuring 275 font and 335 rear.

Just like the Mustang GTD, the Half-11 will have an inboard pushrod for a better center of gravity comprising custom-adjustable Ohlins. A manual or power steering rack is also available.

The HF-11 will cost around $2,350,000, which still seems like a bargain when you look at the pre-production specs and compare it to $3 million+ offerings like T.50, the recently launched McLaren W1, and Czinger 21C.

Oilstainlab is a refreshingly unhinged company that has never disappointed when it comes to building one-off, jaw-dropping, deceivingly raw, and brutal cars. The HF-11 is their first attempt at a production series automobile and the spec sheet alone has got us feeling all fuzzy, can't wait to drive the real thing in person if I ever get a chance, that is.
