Fastest Dodge
Names like Plymouth, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile are no longer available and the vacuum left behind by these brands has been absorbed by Dodge, Ford, and Chevrolet. These automakers produced several muscle cars but one of the most notable and long-running nameplates is the Dodge Challenger. Hence, why not find out what are the fastest Challenger from each generation? After all, it is being discontinued after the 2024 model year.

The Dodge Challenger is part of the Holy Trinity of Muscle Cars, along with the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. The first Challenger was introduced in 1970, and its first generation lasted till 1974. In 1973, the USA was hit by an oil crisis, and so everyone had to wait until 1978 for the second generation of the Challenger. This time around, it came with smaller and more fuel-efficient engine options. The second generation of the Challenger continued till 1983, and after that, nothing was heard from the brand till 2008.

In 2008, the third generation of the Dodge Challenger was launched, and it is going strong to this day. The Dodge Challenger has been a favorite among muscle car enthusiasts and also those who like to go drag racing. Dodge has catered to those enthusiasts with accessories and performance parts specifically meant for drag racing. With that in mind, we have come up with a list of the fastest Dodge Challengers from each generation. We have also mentioned the fastest Challenger of all time.

If you are a fan of the Charger by any chance.

Now without further delay, let’s have a look

2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170

Silver 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon 170

If you wanted the fastest car ever made, you’d be thinking of some million-dollar hypercar, right? Something with only two or one seat(s), very exclusive, mostly electric, and only available for the richest of the rich

But it was the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 that broke the code, priced at a sum of five digits It ripped off every production car on a 0-60 sprint, including the fastest electric hypercar that is produced for the road.

Dodge charges $96,666 for the 2023 Challenger Demon 170, and the supercharged V8 under the hood can produce a whopping 1,028 horsepower in stock form with E85 fuel!

When Dodge dropped it, it was a huge thing for the ICE car fans, defeating the EVs, even the most powerful and fastest ones, and it will always be one of the most historic cars ever produced for the mass market.

Now let’s have a look at the fastest Dodge Challenger ever made-

What is the fastest Dodge Challenger of all time?

The 2023 Dodge Demon 170 is the fastest accelerating car ever made, which eventually means it is the fastest production-spec Challenger ever. The Dodge Challenger Demon 170 has over 1,000 horsepower from the supercharged V8 engine under the hood.

What is faster, a Demon or a Jailbreak?

The Dodge Demon 170 reaches 0-60 in just 1.66 seconds, which is less than half of the time (3.4 seconds) the Challenger Hellcat Jailbreak would take to reach 60 mph from a standstill. This means that the Jailbreak is way slower when compared to the Demon 170, but a sub-3 second 0-60 time is something even some high-end sportscars fail to achieve most of the time.
