Everything You Need To Know About Car Parts Dealer And Mod House Spoon

Tatsuru Ichishima was a driver and tester for the race cars and his passion for racing performance was not properly fueled at his job. In 1988, Ichishima initiated a start-up regarding the modification and tuning of Honda cars which started with his own 1985 Civic. He had the support of Honda and his knowledge and skills made him a renowned modifier in no time.

Today, Spoon Inc. is not just a mod house, it also offers various aftermarket parts that enhance the performance of the cars and make them race-ready. The company has three divisions, the first being Spoon Sports where you can find all the necessary enhancers for your Honda Vehicles. Type One is a one-stop service that delivers unmatchable tuning and performance enhancement for your cars. PCT, on the other hand, deals with the research of each vehicle to figure out how they can be improved with the patented products and what more can be discovered for tuning and racing purposes.

Here are some sick cars modified by Spoon:

5. Honda S2000 Demo Car

The details of this S2000 from Ichishima are similar to a sports car and despite having an all-white exterior, this Honda creates an incredible visual impact. The aggressive front bumper is taken from the Super Taikyu S2000 race car and it makes way for a large central air intake.

The massive foglight reflectors are there to steal the show while the vented hood is the partner in crime offering a lot of practical functions. The contrasting 17-inch matte-bronze Volk Racing wheels come with sticky Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R tires for better grip. The tuned engine delivers 275 horsepower while the twin-exit main N1 exhaust demonstrates styling and perfection.

4. The Spoon NSX-R GT

The Honda NSX might be the most unique entry in this list and we would not stand against you if you decide to put it above the rest of the modded cars. This is the NSX-R GT enhanced by the Type-One team with Spoon Sports parts. The two-tone paint job might seem familiar to any Spoon fan but the aggressive bodywork with the roof-mounted intake will take some time for your eyes to adjust.

4. The Spoon NSX-R GT

The turbocharged C30A is capable of producing over 540 hp of power. The Honda GT comes with RAYS Volk Racing TE37 wheels and both the braking and acceleration are among the best-modded cars in the world.

3. Ichishima’s 2010 Honda CR-Z

The CR-Z was modified around the same time as the Civic that comes later in this list. It has a 1.5L with IMA Hybrid system coupled with Spoon Sports high camshaft, Fit GE8 intake chamber, and Venturi throttle body. The Spoon Sports ECU connects with the Spoon Sports limited-slip differential and the driveshaft set.

3. Ichishima’s 2010 Honda CR-Z

The 17-inch Volk Racing wheels are wrapped in Yokohama Advan A048 tires and the brakes have Spoon Sports monoblock calipers. The Spoon Sports dry carbon-fiber doors are an excellent addition here alongside the custom hood, aero mirror, and plexiglass windows.

2. 2003 Honda Accord Euro R

The modified Accord from 2003 is fitted with a Spoon Sports FD2 Type R K20A engine that comes with an RSP-adapted intake manifold alongside a custom exhaust manifold and carbon-fiber intake tubing. The potent engine management is what we call the Hondata K-Tuned ECU while the transmission is powered by the Spoon Sports 5.0 Final drive.

2. 2003 Honda Accord Euro R

The Spoon Sports strut bar, solid steering bushings, custom spherical bushings, and camber arms are there to offer the highest level of suspension. The 17-inch Weds TC105N wheels come with Nitto NT01 tires. The OEM Honda Accord Euro R bumpers, custom-spaced OEM front fenders, and the Spoon Sports CL7 dry carbon-fiber hood offer a unique appearance for the Accord.

1. 1985 Honda Civic E-AT

The last on this list is the one that started the whole story for Spoon Sports back in 1985. The Honda Civic comes with a 1.6L DOHC ZC, Spoon-built block, head, Spoon Sports valve cover, custom exhaust manifold, and straight-pipe exhaust alongside the Keihin ECU engine management.

1. 1985 Honda Civic E-AT

The 5-speed manual is fitted with Spoon Sports clutch and flywheel while the Showa adjustable suspension is complemented with custom air jacks aluminum roll cage, Spoon Sports front shock tower bar, adjustable panhard bar, and Sway bars.
