Powerhouse Amuse is among the most iconic Japanese tuning houses and is known for its extensive modifications of JDMs. While JDM tuners don't have easy access in the US, Amuse arrived at the US shores in collaboration with Bulletproof Automotive. Not only tuning cars, but they also sell separate high-end performance tuning parts for Japanese cars as well. To date, the mod house has built some of the craziest versions of popular JDM cars.

The practice of modifying a car began in the early 30s and developed further through the 50s. With that, numerous modification houses have come up in the past couple of decades and some of the notable ones are Mugen, Hennessey, and Esprit. While some mod houses deal with specific types of cars, some are generic ones and accept projects to modify vehicles of any make and model.
The Power House Amuse is one such mod house that deals with JDM cars and is primarily based out of Japan. While Japanese mod houses don’t get direct access to the US market, a few of them have started to operate successfully by collaborating with Bulletproof Automotive. Also, there are plenty of upgrade parts offered by the mod house for other sports cars as well such as the Porsche 996 911 GT3 RS.
Being a modifier of primarily JDM cars, the individual upgrade parts from Power House are truly incredible and at the hands of an expert tuner, bring out the best. As mentioned before, there are several upgrade parts for non-JDM cars too such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Ferrari 360.
While the mod house is quite particular about releasing the exact power and performance stats of its builds, they are almost insane at the same time. The range of available upgrade kits offered by the mod house are carbon fiber body panels, carbon fiber front bumper enhancements, suspension upgrades, engine cam upgrades, and carbon fiber plates for radiators among a lot of others.
This is among the most tasteful builds of the model house. While the exact specs of the car have been kept under wraps, the cosmetic changes were revealed though. At the front, the car received a high-end Varis front lip made from carbon fiber, and a pair of additional carbon fiber side skirts were also installed.
The front lip upgrade provides additional downforce while enhancing the aerodynamics of the car. The wheels of the car were also upgraded to TE37 units from Volk racing, shodden with performance tires.
The Subaru WRX STI is already a tuned vehicle right from the factory when it comes to its performance and cosmetic appearance. However, it is also a modder-favorite car, and here is a crazy modified example. The STI is from the 2017 model year and is finished in a flashy ignition-red exterior paintwork. In terms of upgrades, right from the exterior, the car is completely decked up.
On the outside, other than the APR Performance GTC-500 carbon fiber wing, the STI received a front bumper and carbon fiber front lip from Varis, Vari's side skirts, a carbon fiber front splitter, sequential headlamp units from Subispeed, and Subispeed carbon fiber tail lamp units among other upgrades. Not only the cosmetic enhancements, but the WRX STI also has some serious tinkering done under its hood as well. The powertrain upgrades include a titanium cold air intake from ETS, cat-back exhaust from Tomei, an electronic boost controller from Grimmspeed, and 1300CC fuel injectors from ID.
Nissan GT-R is one of the highest-tuned Japanese supercars out there, and there are examples of tuned GT-Rs outpacing some multi-million-dollar-worth supercars as well. One such example is from Bulletproof Automotive. However, unlike other 1,000 hp+ GT-Rs out there, this one is a super light build featuring complete carbon fiber bodywork, to begin with. As such, the car has shed some massive 500 lbs of weight, making it more agile on its feet.
The brand did not disclose anything about the powertrain specs and performance stats of this build but it gets some healthy powertrain upgrades though. On the inside, all the panels have been replaced with carbon fiber bits but all the creature comfort and other features have been retained completely.
This is one amazing and crazy build of the legendary Skyline GT-R. Much like the previous one, this also features a majority of carbon fiber built inside out. Coming to the famous RB26DETT motor first, it is blessed with N1 pistons from NISMO along with a couple of HKS stage-1 camshafts. Also, the motor gets a forced induction system with two HKS turbochargers, complete with an upgraded intercooler, upgraded radiator, and an upgraded oil cooler as well.
With these, the car happily makes 520 horses and 377 lb-ft of torque. Taking care of the ride and handling are specially fabricated custom-made dampers from Bilstein while the coil overs are left untouched. The car gets a set of sporty GT-C wheels from Rays Engineering shodden with Yokohama Advan A048 semi-slick tires. Also, the interior of the car was also stripped completely and only the necessary bits were installed.
As the name suggests, this GT-R is also a carbon-fiber-built example as well. It features an extensive usage of Bulletproof Automotive aftermarket parts along with plenty of upgrades from Overtake as well. Starting with the interior, the car gets a gray Alcantara interior upholstery, the OEM seats completely redone with Bulletproof upholstery, a Bulletproof steering wheel, a Bulletproof shifter knob, and a Bulletproof parking brake lever.
On the powertrain part, the car gets STTI 100-V Saikou exhaust from the Power House Amuse and Cobb Accessport. The handling capabilities have been upgraded with a KW Coilover Sleeve Kit.
We mentioned earlier that Bulletproof and Power House also specialize in tuning and customizing non-JDM cars too, and this M4 is an ode to it. The F82 M4 is quite the performance car right out of the factory but nothing’s stopping it from getting tuned though.
Despite being a German asphalt ripper, the M4 got plenty of Japanese touches. The fantastic twin-turbocharged N55 I-6 got a tasteful racing tune from ESS along with a Gruppe M carbon fiber intake, and the exhaust system from Armytrix. Also, the suspension system has been upgraded with Aragosta coil overs from Japan that further include a front lift system and external reservoir as well.
This is one of the most extreme Nissan GT-Rs to exist out there, putting some unthinkable amount of power on the tarmac. The legendary VR38DETT of the GT-R gets a strengthened core with an HSK crankshaft and H-beam connecting rods also from HSK. The high-lift HKS camshaft is supplemented with upgraded valve springs that feature a higher 270-degree intake opening along with a 278-degree exhaust opening, maximizing power output.
The stock twin turbos are swapped out with bigger and better HKS GTII 7867 turbochargers which are counter-rotating units. All these touches to the powertrain result in an astonishing 1,048 hp right at the wheels!
