Take A Look At The Esprit Auto Tuners From Japan

The Esprit is an automotive tuning house located in Suzuka, Japan. It has been a well-known name in Japanese racing culture ever since 1979. They produce performance products as well as exterior add-ons for the cars like the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, the Mazda RX-7, the Toyota Chaser, the Acura NSX, and a lot more JDM sports cars.

Whether you need slight modifications for your car or you want to build a full-on track car, Esprit has got you covered with its wide range of aftermarket parts and ECU tunes. It’s time to check out some of the tuner cars spotted in their shop in Suzuka.

7. Toyota Supra Turbo:

The Toyota Supra Turbo is Toyota’s reply to the legendary Nissan Skyline GTR. Producing similar power figures, it definitely is capable of giving Skyline GTR a good run for its money. As standard, the Supra comes equipped with a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine that churns out 276 horsepower and 318 lb-ft of torque.

7. Toyota Supra Turbo:

However, the Esprit-tuned Supra with HKS T04Z generated up to 650 horsepower, and all the power was sent to the rear wheels only. Besides, it also flaunts plenty of exterior tweaks like front canards, a huge GT rear wing, a rear diffuser, and after-gold wheels from RAYS. Overall, it is a full-blown track car with a monstrous engine under the hood.

6. Lexus IS300:

The Lexus IS300 is a compact sedan with three engine choices ranging from a 2.0L inline-4 engine to a 3.5L V6 engine. The base engine is rated at 153 horsepower and has a top speed of 134 mph, while the most potent 3.0 inline-6 engine is good enough for 211 horsepower and allows the car to hit a top speed of 143 mph.

6. Lexus IS300:

The Esprit-tuned version of the IS300 was finished in a white shade with after-market wheels. There is no info on other internal upgrades.

5. Subaru BRZ:

Subaru BRZ is an entry-level sports coupe that shares its underpinnings with Toyota GT86. Albeit having a 2.0L inline-4 engine, the BRZ produces 204 horsepower and does 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds with a commendable top speed of 140 mph.

5. Subaru BRZ

Besides performance, it is also a great handling car with a direct steering response and fun-to-drive dynamics, making it one of the most desirable cars in the affordable range.

4. Nissan Skyline GTR R32:

The Nissan Skyline GTR R32 is the first proper Skyline from the Japanese automaker. The Nissan Skyline GTR R32’s 2.6L twin-turbocharged inline-6 RB26DETT engine is an iconic engine that can be tuned extensively. However, the standard engine produces 276 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

4. Nissan Skyline GTR R32:

During its time, the Nissan Skyline GTR R32 was a legendary sports car from Japan that won multiple motorsports events and was the only car from Japan to keep with other European sports cars like the Porsche and Lamborghini on tracks. It is definitely worthy of all the praise and fame.

3. Nissan Skyline GTR R33:

The Nissan Skyline GTR R33 is the successor to the GTR R32 and was produced from 1995-1998. The Skyline GTR R33 came in different variations and specs. However, the standard engine was almost similar to the R32 but with better reliability, unlike the R32 which had weak oil pump issues.

3. Nissan Skyline GTR R33:

Power figures were exactly the same as you get in the R32. Overall, the Nissan Skyline GTR R33 is a car that stays true to its heritage and could be tuned to produce over 1000 horsepower effortlessly, owing to its bulletproof inline-6 engine.

2. Nissan GTR R35:

The Nissan GTR R35 is the outgoing GTR model which incorporates state-of-the-art technology for performance and handling. It was the major revision in the GTR lineage and the first GTR ever GTR to be fitted with a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6 engine.

2. Nissan GTR R35:

Nissan launched the GTR R35 after a long hiatus and debuted in 2009 and is still in production. Over the years, it received a couple of facelifts and engine revisions but we wouldn't call it a major upgrade.

1. Acura NSX:

Next up is the Acura NSX, which is the most extremely modified car by Esprit not just inside but also the bodywork. It gets a wide-body kit with a huge rear wing and rear diffusers. Underneath, the NSX lies the same 3.2L naturally aspirated V6 engine but it gets new camshafts, pistons, connecting rods, and T517Z twin turbochargers.
