Collection Suites Is Not Your Average Car Club

Miami is a place known for luxury and collectible vehicles now but let us start from the mid-90s. Lino Fayen, born in 1925, was a racer in France who was immensely successful in 1950. After retiring from professional racing he came to Caracas and focused on collecting cars. His son Juan Manuel grew up in the speedway and his passion for cars was unmatched, just like his old man.

However, the biggest problem they faced with their collection of luxury automobiles is that there were no decent places in Miami to park the cars or make sure they were safe. Hence they thought of building one on their own and voila. Collection Suites was never meant to be a car club and it was neither in the plan to make a museum but it turned out to be something that has some of the characteristics of both these two.

How to join the Collection Suites?

The Truth is, Collection Suites is not an automobile club and you do not need a membership. It is like a garage for your collectibles or to be more precise, it is a luxury apartment for your automobiles. Although there are no specific criteria for booking a place here for your vehicles, it is understandable that you need to be among the wealthiest people to afford it.

Moreover, according to Juan Manuel, people who have booked one of his condos usually have ten or more cars, so consider it a factor. This is not just any garage but a full-length opulent treatment for your collectibles with high security so the cost is expectedly through the roof. But if you already have ten or more cars and bikes, affordability should not be a problem.

What are the benefits for the people booking a place here?

Firstly, Collection Suites is an enormous compound divided into four sections and there are a total of 38 condos. Each of these condos is dedicated to one owner for his or her car collection. And it is not just cars, anything you consider collectible, starting from your artworks to your watches, this is the place you can keep them and showcase them at the same time.

The condos usually have an average area of 2,057 to 2,076 sq. ft. There is a ground floor where you can put your cars and artwork and other luxury items. It also has a bathroom, a kitchen, a wet bar, and a pool table for you to bring your friends and gloat on your collection.

Are there any annual events?

Collection Suites does not arrange annual programs like most other car clubs but that does not necessarily mean that there is nothing fun at all. The Fayens have plans to evolve the place into a private club where people can do much more than just showcase their prized possessions. They can meet other collectors to discuss their favorite subjects and have a great time together.

There are also plans for hosting private racing days at the Homestead-Miami Speedway track. The father-son duo usually grabs the first and second prizes there but bringing more people into the fold and offering them a celebration they deserve will definitely take the Collection Suits to new heights. In-house events and off-site events are going on every now and then as well.

How is the interior of these condos?

The condos are made to be your personal museums and you can simply expect the level of elite around this place. The dedicated spaces are like ultra-chic showrooms with the biggest focus on automobiles. The glossy Italian porcelain floors simply reflect the futuristic lighting and make you feel like an ultra-modern garage.

The walls are stretched long enough to put your artwork or other collectibles like car memorabilia or even a whole engine if you wish. The wet bars are designed by ItalKraft while the lounge area comes with a large television and Sonos surround system for the ultimate entertainment.

What other luxury aspects are there?

There is a stainless steel spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine top floor which allows you to sit down and appreciate your own collection. You can also add a custom wine cellar to your collection where the temperature-controlled section will take care of them for you. You can also add bookshelves and put a working table to make it your personal workspace just like Manuel did with his own.

The condos are adjacent to a backyard that offers a BBQ place where you can bring your folks and have a good time with the world’s finest wine and delicious food. However, only one of the four buildings has a backyard available for now.

How is the security condition here?

Security is the top-most priority and the Fayen family makes sure that every collectible in every condo has the highest level of security. The entire area is gated and guarded with security personnel at your service around the clock. There is also an option for you to appoint third-party security to ensure additional safety for the toys you are passionate about the most.

Surveillance cameras are a must in such a place and your condo is monitored as well. The best part is that you can just leave your collectibles there to observe remotely to make sure they are in safe hands.

What is Collection Suites 2.0?

The Fayens are building another one with as many as 14 new luxury storage suites just beside the existing Collection Suites. The new plans show state-of-the-art technologies with luxurious amenities and this time there will be living places and a clubhouse as well. The aspects of limited edition cars, rare arts, and finest wines will continue but the gallery spaces will be something special.

One can just get to the gallery to enjoy and showcase the collectibles they have and at the same time, the space will be able to provide much better security to the possessions. The new suites will have a range from 2,900 sq. ft. to 7,100 sq. ft. and they will be customizable as well.
