The Lamborghini Revuelto is here to be part of the plug-in hybrid supercar gang which is getting popular with every passing day. Highly customizable unless you already choose the Lamborghini predetermined specs for early delivery. Despite taking a bold move by adopting electrification, the Revuelto Plug-in Hybrid Supercar is ready to start a new chapter in Lamborghini’s future.

The Lamborghini Aventador was replaced by the new Revuelto which is a plug-in hybrid supercar. The Aventador’s production ended in 2022 with a total estimated 11,831 units (as per wikipedia) which includes all different versions that came out of the factory from 2011. That said, the old Aventador had a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine attached to a 7-speed automated-manual transmission. Together this combination put out 769 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
The Porsche, McLaren, and Ferrari have been in the plug-in hybrid car market for quite a while. Porsche’s E-Hybrids models, McLaren’s Artura, and Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale have been wowing supercar and hypercar fans for years now.

Although Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid called Revuelto is a little late in the game, I'm sure it is going to live up to the hype. The fact that Lamborghini received the highest pre-booking orders for Revuelto should be enough to back my statement.

The latest 2024 Revuelto not only becomes the first Lamborghini to get a plug-in hybrid powertrain but it is also the first Lamborghini to have a net output of over 1,000 horsepower. Furthermore, the Revuelto again became the first Lamborghini car to receive the new V12 engine in over a decade.

There is no doubt that when you add a big battery pack and electric motors along with a big beefy V12, the car is going to get heavy. The same is the case for the new Revuelto despite having loads of carbon fiber in its construction. The battery pack inside the Revuelto weighs 154 pounds whereas 81.5 pounds is due to the front electric motors. The gearbox and the remaining electric motor weigh 425 pounds.
The Lamborghini has not given a total weight figure but it has given a power-to-weight ratio which suggests the total weight to be 3,915 pounds. If I had to put things into perspective, the outgoing Lamborghini Aventador Coupe LP 700-4 weighs 443 pounds less than its successor.
If you thought the gas guzzling V12 is going to be history, the answer is straight "No", Lamborghini is still not over V12 engines. That is why it has provided a 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 engine in the Revuelto. This new V12 might have the same displacement as the one offered in the Aventador but it is 37.5 lbs lighter. The 6.5L V12 puts put 814 horsepower @ 9,250 rpm. The powertrain is connected to three 147-horsepower electric motors.

Two motors that drive the front wheels without V12’s help are mounted on the front axle whereas the remaining one is attached to a transmission. Furthermore, the Revuelto has a 3.8-kWh battery pack. When all of these components work together in symphony, the plug-in hybrid system in the Revuelto produces a net output of juicy 1,001 horsepower and 535 lb-ft of torque.
Revuelto comes with a new carbon fiber chassis and new carbon fiber front subframe which makes it 20 percent lighter than its predecessor Aventador’s subframe which was made out of aluminum. However, the Revuelto’s construction is stiffer which makes it better at absorbing crash force and momentum.

Now let’s get to the juicy part of the pie, the Lamborghini Revuelto’s design. The Revuelto is a mixup of many previous Lamborghini models. However, at some angles, the Revuelto does keep its originality intact with features like the high-mounted exhausts and the engine cover which is accompanied by several vents on both sides. Furthermore, just like other Lambos the new Revuelto will also feature scissor doors started with the Lamborghini Countach.

At the front, you can see Y-shaped running lights and on the side profile, big black air intakes are making the Revueltos more menacing. Although Revuelto has taken these elements from the limited edition Sian, it does not come equipped with veritable fins or carbon fiber roof strikes which were given on the Sian. Some other highlights of the Revuelto’s design are the hidden door handles and folding rear wing. Lastly, the 2024 Revuelto comes with 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels.

The Lamborghini Revuelto’s design takes inspiration from many of its old siblings that were quite successful in the market. Its overall design gives it a resemblance to the now-discontinued Aventador. At the front, the big nose is borrowed from Murcielago whereas Diablo’s design language is responsible for the rear end. Furthermore, the Countach and the limited edition Sián models have also contributed to the styling of the Revuelto, especially with the body lines and the Y-shaped DRLs.
P.S. - To be honest, I think the Revuelto shares some striking resemblance with the Lykan Hypersport as well.
We know that almost everyone is aware of the fact that Lamborghinis are not really family cars except for the Urus. However, if you have been living under a rock with your 1970s magazines, I've got some news for you. The Lamborghini Revuelto does not have back seats. Yes, the Revuelto is a 2-seater hypercar and its rear section has been taken by the V12 setup.

Having said that, compared to the Aventador, the Revuelto has a more spacious cabin as it has more legroom and headroom. Your golf set can be stored behind the front seats, and you can put other luggage under the hood. Compared to many similar supercars, the Lamborghini Revuelto has a more practical and racier interior. Lastly, there are more than 70 color options that be used to customize the Lamborghini Revuelto interior.
A 7-speed single-clutch automatic transmission was given with the Aventador. However, the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto comes with a new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission which is connected to the 6.5L V12 engine. It transfers power to the rear wheels. This arrangement allows quicker and smoother gear shifting than the Huracan which also has a dual-clutch gearbox but it has 7-speed.

The 2024 Revuelto has a total of 13 driving modes. The modes can be broken down into four categories. The two basic modes include Strada and Sport. The Corsa (track) is also part of this category whereas the Città is the new addition where it uses only the EV power from the battery pack. Hence, it limits the output to 178 horsepower. There are three regenerative braking modes as well which include Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance.
The final category includes other modes which are used for different driving conditions. Out of all these modes, the Sport and the Corsa are the most powerful ones as they raise the power output to 895 horsepower and 1,001 horsepower respectively.
The Revuelto is an absolute beast on the track. Ideally, it can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.5 seconds compared to Aventador's claimed 2.9 seconds. Furthermore, the Lamborghini Revuelto specs include a top speed of 217 MPH. Moreover, it can cross 124 MPH from a standstill in less than 7.0 seconds which is comparable to the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. Meanwhile, the Bugatti Chiron remains ahead with just 6.5 seconds of timing.

At the same time, in EV mode, the Lamborghini Revuelto Plug-in Hybrid has an electric range of only 6 miles. However, keep in mind that it is according to European standards. On a side note, the new Revuelto Plug-in Hybrid does not have a regular mechanical four-wheel drive system as batteries power the front wheel.
What makes the Revuelto even more convincing is its CO2 Emission of 441 grams/mile compared to outgoing Aventador's 736 grams/mile despite offering 28% more power. This however is not enough to beat the rivals such as Ferrari SF90 Stradale's CO2 Emission of an impressive 256 grams/mile.
The Lamborghini Revuelto comes equipped with a lot more digital screens and fewer buttons which has not been the case for other Lamborghini models. There is a central 8.4-inch touchscreen and a 9.1-inch horizontal touchscreen in front of the passenger seat. Moreover, there is a 12.3-inch driver information display behind the steering wheel.

Additionally, the Lamborghini Revuelto will also come with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Furthermore, the Lamborghini Revuelto also comes equipped with advanced driving aids such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, along with all the basic features of its predecessor.

The Aventador, Miura, and who can forget Murcielago, various Lamborghinis have been named after Spanish fighting bulls. Hence, why should Revuelto be an exception? After all, Lamborghini’s logo is of an angry bull. The Revuelto is named after a Spanish fighting bull who fought in Barceona in the late 1800s. On the other hand, the Revuelto also means “mix up” or “scrambled eggs” in Spanish which mimics the wild personality of that bull.

So the big question remains. How much does the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto cost? The Revuelto carries a price tag of a hefty $608,358 without any options which is around $100k more expensive than the limited edition Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae Coupe. The sticker price can easily climb faster than its 0 to 60 MPH run time with options and equipment added. So, before you search for Lamborghini Revuelto for sale on google, I think you should take another look at your bank statement.
Lamborghini has confirmed that the first three years of production models have already been reserved by the consumers. The Lamborghini's first-ever plug-in hybrid gained immense success and the company has revealed that the Revuelto is sold out until at least late 2026. In other words, if you decided to order a Revuelto today, you won't receive it for almost next three years.

Early buyers were given a choice. If they wanted one of the first 200 Revueltos, they would be required to select one of nine predetermined specs with respect to a specific exterior color and options related to it. It means that they will not have the liberty to fully customize their Revuelto. Some buyers have paid over $723,000 for the 2024 Revuelto due to all the additional packages and options on the car.
The Lamborghini Revuelto is undoubtedly better in terms of performance and technology than Aventador, some purists might still steer away from it because of its hybrid nature. The Lamborghini Revuelto can throw all sorts of backflips when compared to its predecessors, and doesn't let the driver feel any power lines running beneath. Having said that, I believe the Revuelto still needs to establish its authority in crowd filled with exlcusive hybrid supercars.
